I met Margaretha Eriksson at the IEEE Section Congress in Tampa, today and she shared some of her resources with me as I did with her. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Stockholm, Sweden. Here are some of the resources (Thesis alone here) she shared with me. The main link to her Department's Thesis page is Ph.Doctoral theses
Also, Her Advisor is Professor Louise Yngstrom who's Thesis " A Systemic-Holistic Approach to Academic Programmes in IT Security" caught my attention. Here's the link to her thesis. Page 41 of this document provides some interesting view or Security Architectural perspective worth considering as one develop an holistic architectural framework.
I'll be staying in touch with Mergaretha and filling this page up with more information as I read the various documents at this site and review their utility for my work.

US Area Codes?
Ok. This has nothing to do with this post, but I do not want this to take its own post, so unfortunately, its becoming a child post of another post .
I had some discussions with a gentleman I wont be naming, at an IEEE USA event yesterday, and I was asked to look into the future of IPv6 as an innovation driver... Quite some thoughts came flying through my head including the following:
1. A universal number for each person based on IPv6. This number will serve as the basis for phone numbers, IP addresses etc and be in nature of a Statistically Unique & Cryptographically verifiable (SUCV). This number may then form the basis of an Identity Based Encryption and Uniquely identify each person. (Sure this sounds like an anonymity nightmare!, but there are arguements for, against and in between). The ramble went on.
Also, the hierachical organizations of IPv6 address into Link Local and Global may also be usefull for labelling personal electronically controlled devices and tying them to a user such that access is more efficiently and effectively controlled using a public key like mechanism. Ok, the devil is in the details.
The inovation will arise from the need to make this work (remember neccisity is the mother of invention). This will require a shift from the stnadard routing srchitectures to work. Also, we will be looking at an Interconnection of wireless and IP networks with POT, powerline etc. This will require new (I hope ) routing architectures and new routing architectures will result in a new set of psrsdigm for several technologies and of course who know shat else.
Ok. Enough ranting for one day?
This looks like good resource on SOX
Maybe I'll do a review later.
